It began with a video tweet, when Bollywood actor Rahul Bose was charged Rs. 442.50 for 2 bananas during his stay at JW Marriott, Chandigarh. Shortly, the tweet went viral on social media and the brands were quick to capitalize the situation. A lot of them came up with their witty interpretations of what their brand can offer in that same price. Some of the brands were OYO, Amazon, Ola, Manforce, Nature’s Basket and many more.

2. Xiaomi

The craze for Game of Thrones is something none of us is oblivious to. Premiered in April, there was a lot of buzz regarding it, more so as it was the final season of the series. What better time to strategise and to “choose your side”!

3. Pulse

The North region of the country, specifically Delhi, choked to hazardous pollution in November as the AQI went upto 443. Amidst such a situation, Pulse was quick enough to come up with a creative, spreading awareness regarding how intense the situation was.

The launch of a new iPhone creates the much obvious hype each year. With the launch of iPhone 11 this year, the prices soared up even more. Brands were quick witted to market a strategy based on it, specially Zomato.

5. KFC

Chandrayaan 2 was a highly complex and one of its kind mission for India. KFC’s innovation in the above creative was unique and commendable. It turned a chicken leg into a rocket, ready to be launched into space. Hence, proved that all it takes is a witty idea and not too many elements.
