This Diwali, Sparkle the Skin with these Quick Tips 1261

Diwali Skin

With Diwali just around the corner, here are some quick hacks to help you get that glow for the festive season.

As we know, Diwali is round the corner and who doesn’t want to garner compliments in the parties or get togethers. However, amidst all the hustle and bustle of this festive season, people tend to go lenient about their skin care. If you don’t have time for intensive skin care, don’t worry, we’re here! Here are a few tips that you can follow to have a glowing skin this Diwali:

Stay Hydrated

Staying hydrated is the first and foremost remedy to have a flawless skin. Drink at least 8 glasses if not more. You can also include fruits and vegetables having high water content such as watermelon, cucumber, orange, lemon and many more. This regimen would flush out the toxins from the body. Don’t forget, you are what you eat!

Cleansing- Toning- Moisturising

Follow the CTM regime (cleansing, toning and moisturising). Wash your face twice a day as dead skin cells and debris pile up which makes the face look dull. Do not touch your face with dirty hands. Make sure to use a toner and moisturiser after washing your face. Toner removes the dead skin cells or whatever is left after cleansing and is beneficial in minimizing the appearance of pores whereas a moisturiser keeps the skin hydrated.

Exfoliation

Exfoliation is the key as it scrubs off the dirt particles from the skin. Exfoliators don’t need to be necessarily in the form of expensive products or treatments. Simple and quick DIY scrubs can also serve the purpose of a good exfoliator. Prepare a scrub using coffee and coconut oil, tomato and sugar or oats and apply it on your face. You can also prepare homemade masks using ingredients like besan (gram flour), turmeric, honey, lemon and rose water. Honey and banana mask also makes the skin soft, smooth and glowing. Know your skin type and prepare the mask accordingly.

A Good Sleep

Sleep well! It is a must to get a minimum of 8 hours sleep. This is the reason why it is termed as a ‘beauty sleep’. Festive season can be hectic but do this for yourself and you will see the change.

Eat Fresh and Healthy

Eat fresh and healthy. Consume a diet that is rich in vitamin C and low in fats and sugar. It will enhance and promote a radiant skin.
